Battle Style: Kumiko likes using brain instead of brawn in battle. Taking out opponents with status effects is Kumiko’s specialty, but she’s willing to use brute force when absolutely necessary. Her battle history is by no means extensive as she’s freshly started battling after years of simply raising Pokémon for different occasions and purposes. Kumiko prefers Grass- and Normal-type Pokémon in battle. Her team is still going to include other types for a balanced roster.

Personality: Kumiko is a positive thinker. Her temper can flare when she’s pushed enough, but usually she’s a happy person. Quick to get attached to people and Pokémon alike, Kumiko might seem somewhat clingy. She’s curious, intelligent and interested in everything Pokémon-related. Kumiko’s ability to pick up information on the go has made her a bit of a walking dictionary – knowledgeable, but almost incapable of putting this knowledge into proper use outside exam and quiz situations.
History: Kumiko’s had a passion for Pokémon from a very young age. She decided to become a world-class breeder and Contest competitor after spending her school years buried in books and only barely making it through any battle or fight. Despite her family lineage being full of Pokémon doctors and nurses, Kumiko has no interest in being locked up to Pokémon Centers only. Right before she left for her journey, Kumiko received a Happiny’s egg from her parents – a not-so-subtle hint about what they wished for their daughter’s future. The egg hatched the next night right next to Kumiko in her sleeping bag, revealing a little Happiny her new trainer ended up naming Beatrix. With Beatrix by her side, Kumiko has begun her journey to the top of the breeder and Contest worlds while helping any Pokémon in trouble that she comes across.
