Mystery Gift

Once a day, users may post here to gain a free gift. What you gain could be an item, a sum of money, a move for your Pokemon or even a Pokemon encounter! It's totally random, but totally free, so why don't you try your luck? Keep in mind that any moves learned or encounters earned must also be achieved by a meeting in the wild or through some sort of training. If you were the last one to post, but a day has passed, please just edit your post with your next attempt.

Items won in Mystery Gift can be found in role play as you go, or added straight to the inventory. Money will always be added right away.
As for Pokemon encounters/eggs, they will be encountered at the discretion of mods.
Pokemon moves can be added straight to profile, but the Pokemon may still need to learn them properly first through training or battle sessions in order for the Pokemon to use them successfully.

Laelia looks around the Mystery Gift facility with curious eyes, a small smirk on her pale face. Though she appears completely silent, her thoughts broadcast loud and clear to the eerie, floating crescent beside her.

Mystery gift, huh...? Wonder who's so "kind" as to be giving out all this free stuff. Laelia closes her eyes, concentrating on the aura around her. I don't sense any ulterior motive in the individuals running this place... Yet, where do they get their merchandise from? What is the source of this supposed philanthropy? Looks like some kind of trick to me... Laelia opens her eyes and scrutinizes the man in front of her in line, who walks away with a Max Revive and a smile on his face.

The Lunatone, unblinking and unmoving, sends his thoughts back to Laelia; He has been given a gift. His happiness is genuine.

He may just be a fool. Besides, he hasn't tested that Max Revive out yet... It could be a phony! A dud! This whole thing seems too good to be true. Laelia turns to her Lunatone, whose stoic, silent musings were nearly impossible for Laelia to read, even despite the fifteen years they had spent together.

After a long moment of silence between them, the Lunatone finally projects a message; I sense no ill intent here, is all that he communicates.

Deciding that the pair had spent long enough standing in the middle of the room in silence like a couple of weirdos, Laelia finally decides to approach the counter. "Might as well give this a shot, then," she says with a laugh as she inspects the apparatus that the attendant is using. "Hmmm... Can't read the mind of a randomizer, so I guess our gift will be a surprise. I do love surprises... Heh. My parents never could surprise me. Christmas gifts, birthday parties... I always predicted them, so eventually my parents just gave me cash to buy my own gifts." Laelia sighs, looking down at the floor.

I still do not logically comprehend your sadness regarding this matter, the Lunatone loudly thinks to himself, so that Laelia can hear.

Laelia shakes her head, unable to control the thought; I guess you never will.

Entering the Mystery Gift facility once again, Laelia turns to her Lunatone with a begrudging look. Endymion, as always, remains expressionless, though the Moon Stone Laelia managed to win on the first day at the shop remains in orbit around his body.

I guess you're right, Endy... For the past three days, we've been getting all of these nice gifts, and all of them seem to be genuine.

They have given me a stone from my native lands. Mercy will be shown to them when the Lunar beings swallow the daylight and reign as the ever-watchful pale eye over the blind blue planet.

Is that so, huh... Laelia pursed her lips. Endy was a very rational being when the New Moon left the sky dark, but as the moon grew fuller, her lunatic companion would make less and less sense, until his statements became entirely cryptic and nonsensical; even so, the sacrifice of what Laelia would consider coherence came with an increase in psychic power so profound that it was almost frightening. At this point in time, the moon was more than half full, and he was starting to get... well, a little loopy. That little moon stone orbiting around him wasn't helping matters much, either. Even so, if it meant that Endy was happy... and powerful... she wasn't one to fight with him on it. If you say so, she thinks, though Endy immediately casts an eerie red eye on his trainer.

I sense your discomfort, he states matter-of-factly. Less discomfort than years past, perhaps. Yet you still remain willfully ignorant of the cycle which dictates the pulse of the planet. The waters ebb and flow with my power. The nights brighten and darken. I set the tempo by which the Earth's heart beats. You have so much more to learn... Perhaps now will be the time. The Lunatone floats to face his trainer, staring her squarely in the eyes. Your parents, your friends, the trainers at Mossdeep... I could hear their thoughts. I knew that they thought I was what you humans refer to as insane. Such a terrible word. It implies an opinion without worth or merit. Perhaps now you will stop letting their influence get in the way of what I have been trying to tell you.

That was not what they thought. You know I felt it too, Endy. It was not that they thought you were insane... It's that... it's that they were afraid of you. Afraid of your influence on me. You know that, Endy! You could probably sense it better than I could!

Endy remains silent for a moment. They fear what they do not understand. He stares forward at the counter, looking at the smiling attendant. It is like this place, Laelia. I bear no ill will.
