Personality: Luca at least has that “Sense of Justice” which every Pokemon Ranger requires. He does the best he is able to, for both people and Pokemon, to help all those in need. When he says he is going to do something, he sets his mind to it, and it is near impossible to change his motives. However, when he is somehow made to change his mind, it often causes him to be greatly discouraged. When he is becomes disappointed, he will often have a long period of silence, and his whole person changes dramatically from upbeat to very pessimistic. He will often exclude himself from public at this point. At least it is hard to actually get him to such a point, as he always has his never-give-up attitude all the time. He would dive into danger to rescue an absolute stranger if he had to. He enjoys traveling and goes just about anywhere from places hot as volcanoes to areas cold as ice caps.

History: Luca was originally born in Azalea Town, Johto. Even when he was young, he had made an effort to help both people and Pokemon alike. He did it for the smiles he got to see on relieved faces of those whom he helped. At the time he found there was such a job as a Pokemon Ranger, Luca made it a goal to become one. It is the perfect job for someone like him.

Luca decided that Johto was likely not the best place to train for this job. He started writing letters to a leading Pokemon Ranger in the Fiore region. He would write about the times he helped people and Pokemon, and he would write about his goal to become a ranger. The letters he received were encouraging his work and motivating him to try harder.

After Luca had written enough letters, he had received a box this time instead of the envelopes he would always get. Inside the box was where the envelope was, along with a folded uniform. The letter was about how impressed the leading Ranger was with Luca's efforts to help, and how the leader enjoyed reading his letters. He was asked to come to Fiore region's port in Fall City– there were ferry tickets in his envelope– wearing the ranger uniform he had received.

Luca had taken the next ferry straight away, wearing the uniform he had been given like he was told to. Once he had gotten to the port of Fall City, he was greeted by the ranger leader. They had a short chat before starting their way toward the ranger base. On the way, it seemed there was a bit of commotion between some Pokemon. One was a fleeing Poochyena, who seemed to be rather scared; and the other was a Machoke, who seemed highly agitated at the Poochyena and persistently chased it. The Ranger Leader gave Luca a styler of his own to calm Poochyena, and the Ranger would be calming Machop.

Luca did not know how to use the styler, so he had to first watch the Ranger Leader capturing Machoke. Luca tried, for the first time, to use the styler he had been given. Luca did not want to mess up. He wanted to try his best, not for a good impression, but to help the Poochyena. To his favour, Luca luckily successfully captured the scared Poochyena and got it back to its calm state. With both Machoke and Poochyena calm,, the ranger said it best to release these Pokemon. The Machoke walked off, no longer hot-tempered. The Poochyena simply jumped into the shadows.

They had gotten to the base in ringtown. Once they had settled, the leader commented on Luca's performance. Luca learned that he traditionally would have had to take an entrance exam. But because of handling a real life situation so well for just learning, he received his ranger certificate right away. From here on, he would always know himself as a Ringtown Ranger.

When Luca left on his first mission, he was suddenly greeted by a Poochyena. After much studying the Pokemon's excited expression, he confirmed that this was the same Poochyena he had met at Fall City. The Poochyena stayed accompanying Luca throughout the whole mission. When he had returned to the base to report the completion of his objective, the Poochyena had still followed. With permission of the leader, the two had become partners.

After some time of gaining experience, he had decided to go back to Johto. With the leader's OK, he took the next ferry to Olivine City's port. He had to promise to return to Fiore whenever he was needed. Through the Voice Mail function on his styler, they would at least be able to have contact. Luca still wore his Ringtown uniform, even though Fiore is many kilometers away now. He and Poochyena would try their best to help the people and Pokemon here, since he knew of few rangers from Johto.

I think for a Ranger's battle style, perhaps pointing out what kinds of missions he's better at/interested in, whether or not he captures other Pokemon or depends on his own, etc. :3 However, accepted!
